Day 1
Welcome to Tanzania

- Enjoy a delicious dinner and relax overnight in this serene retreat, preparing for the adventure ahead.
Day 2
Waterfalls, Culture & Community
- Guided walk to Usa River's waterfalls and forest trails
- Village walking tour and local market visit
- Cultural immersion with local artisans and community members
- Climb briefing and overnight at Rafiki
Day 3
Safari & Acclimatization in Arusha National Park
- Morning transfer to Ngongongare Gate
- Full-day safari among giraffes, buffalo, and colobus monkeys
- Light acclimatization hike with views of Meru's crater
- Picnic lunch in the park, dinner and overnight at Rafiki
Day 4
Mt. Meru Expedition: Into the Forest
- Early pickup from Rafiki to begin the ascent
- Trek through montane forest and giant heather
- First night camping on the mountain
Day 5
Mt. Meru Expedition: Into the Alpine Desert
- Continue climbing through shifting alpine desert terrain
- Guided by experienced Rafiki Tours crew
- All meals, equipment, and camping support provided
Day 6
Mt. Meru Expedition: Summit Push
- Ascend the dramatic knife-edge ridge overlooking the crater
- Reach the summit of Mt. Meru (4,566m)
- Sweeping sunrise views over Kilimanjaro
Day 7
Mt. Meru Expedition: Descent & Rest
- Descend the mountain and return to Rafiki for rest
- Afternoon guided tour of Arusha town
- Evening airport transfer for departure
